okay, i don't do a whole lot of contests or giveaways just because that's not really my "thing..." but once in a while it works out, and this is one of those times!

if you have seen me lately i have probably told you about the life-changing hairbrush i recently bought for my daughter at pigtails & crewcuts, called the knot genie. seriously, this is the greatest thing ever invented! addison has thick curls (not ringlets or anything, just a lot of hair) that multiply during the night. it often appears that either she is a beauty-school dropout or a family of mice has taken up residence on her head while she slept.

the morning routine is torturous -- or it was until i found this brush! it truly does what it promises, combs straight through her locks with NO tugging, pulling, screaming... you know the drill!

it is a small size, roughly 12x18, to fit on the garden flag holders that many people have in their front yards... the ribbon tabs are additional, as well.

this was a shower gift for a friend who used michael miller's tweet tweet fabric (one of my all time faves) in her sweet baby girl's room.

it's an 8x10 canvas on which i left spaces for her to add baby arabella's birth stats (i think you can probably see my pencil marks where each "stat" should go)! the idea was to share it on the door of her hospital room, then to have it as a special keepsake in her room when she is home!

is this not the cutest thing? jackson's mom brought me a fun book that she wanted me to adapt into a canvas for his room! unfortunately, you can't see a couple of the neat details in this one... his bandana around his neck is a piece of his bedding fabric, and there are real rocks and dirt painted into the ground he is biking on!

i am going to place an order next FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3 for appliques (from one of my very favorite etsy shops) to use on halloween tees. this will be my only order of these, so if you are interested in a halloween tee for your little one (or yourself, for that matter), please let me know ASAP!

there is a letter in the upper left corner (sort of hard to read -- it is A-R) of each design; please let me know which design you want by indicating the letter!

in case you aren't sure what these tees look like, it is

something like this (wrong holiday, of course...):

not all the designs are this large, most are roughly 5x7. if you need an exact size before placing an order, i can find this out for you.

the designs (from actual vintage halloween cards) are professionally heat transferred onto 100% cotton muslin, the colors are bright and fabric is machine washable. i have been beyond thrilled with every one of these i have ever used.

black or white
long or short sleeve

* i do not intend to take credit for the fabulous designs on this page -- i have simply condensed her many designs into my favorites. i will, however, take credit for the tee design -- i will add a rhinestone here and there, maybe some ribbon, the cute background fabric...

we are expecting baby #2 around thanksgiving... which means that i am cutting off orders {indefinitely} as of october 20.

i'm really sad to have to do this, but i am going to have to figure out how to work around a VERY busy little lady and a VERY demanding newborn mister.

i'm already into mid-september as far as the waiting list goes, so please let me know as soon as you can if there is anything coming up that you will need!

i really hope that i am able to find a balance fairly quickly because i know i will miss working on all your fun projects, but only time will tell!

i hate to have to do this, but after many conversations with friends who have had similar experiences, i have made a decision. i have had enough people take advantage of me letting customers pay after projects are completed...

starting today, i am asking that customers pay a minimum 50% nonrefundable deposit on projects in order to be included in the wait list.

this may seem harsh, but i honestly believe that it will help me weed through the not-so-urgent orders and get to the people who are ready to have their projects completed. i think it will also help me prioritize and complete orders in a more timely fashion!

now, i must say that most of my customers have been fabulous, paying on time, some even pre-paying.
